One Life, One Chance

Sometimes, we see the way out but wander further
and  despite ourselves; the fear, the anger,
or the sadness preventing us from returning.
Sometimes, we prefer to be lost and wandering;
sometimes, it’s easier.
Sometimes we find our own way out,
but regardless always, we are found.

Assalamualaikum Silent reader(s) ;-)

Remember when I confidently told you guys that I'll be having an Interview session
aka MMI ( Multiple Mini Interview) this June... to my surprise it was actually EARLY.
Last Thursday, I received a phone call from someone in the uni regarding on the
MMI........ and told me that it will be held on the 29th of April!
So yeah... I had my MMI on Monday... Honestly, I didn't do much research,
cus I myself don't even know what to research....

Overall, I find the MMI enjoyable and fun. BUT there are some stations where
I couldn't answer properly........ and I feel so down because of that!
At one of the stations, this interviewer questioned me about something that I clearly
have no idea what the answers are! She even asked me how many clinics are there
available in Brunei..... and I said I don't know.. And since then, her facial expression
changed from looking bored to looking unsatisfied and annoyed.

Maybe it was partly my fault, for not doing intense research...... but some of the interviewers
were playing hard on us, and I don't find it fair! Especially bcus they are local. I find foreign interviewers/
lecturers ( I assume all of the interviewers are lecturers. should be! ) more friendly compared to....
local ones.  [okay maybe I was being over dramatic... Im freaking out :/ ]

All I can do left is pray pray pray and wish for the best. I really hope most of the people who
went to the MMI ( everyone if possible) including myself will pass the interview!!
Insha Allah!

Behind every girl's favourite song, is an untold story.

i spend a lot of time
searching for affection
in shallow spaces

i gave people bits of me
they didn't deserve
and i let myself be hurt,
because i thought
that's what i deserved

but once i let go
of trying to shove puzzle pieces
in places that did not fit,
once i let go of all the hate
i secretly had stored in the
gashes that decorate my heart

i met you

Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other.
But what about the rest of us?
What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone?
We are the victims of the one sided affair.
We are the cursed of the loved ones.
We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded.
The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space!
Yes, you are looking at one such individual"

Never despair whenever this kind of 'tragedy' (exaggeration I know) befalls you.
You are not alone.

I sometimes wonder, whenever Im alone, I think of these kind of things yknow,
and sometimes when I see my friends who already have their own significant other,
at one moment I feel so.... left out.
( I hope I didn't sound too pathetic :P )
On second thought, I don't think I am ready to be involved with feelings again atm!
Ive learnt my lesson and I prefer to play a slow game.. and let things fall slowly, hehe.
The most important thing to me right now is....... my studies. And I don't want to be
distracted. For now. At least.

Anyways.. whenever something like this happens, set in your mind that God made us in pairs
and it is only a matter of time, we will meet our own half! Insha Allah. ;-)

As the great Yasmin Mogahed said:
Some feel lonely because they haven’t found that perfect
‘companion’ yet. Sometimes Allah sends everyone else away so you can find that only in Him.
and she also said:
If you want the love of the people, stop running after it. The more you chase it, the more it escapes you.
Love doesn’t come from the people. It comes from God.

In conclusion, make Him your top priority, and you will never be last ;-)
When the time comes, when our Imaan is already enough,
the path that we've been on will cross with someone who has been written for us.
He is the best of all planners and His timing is never off.

One of my friends once said, "Save your precious heart to someone who deserves it!"
So guys, save your precious heart, keep it locked inside, learn not to get too attached
to someone (even though it will be quite tough), only the person with the right 'key'
deserve it! ;-)

'what comes easy wont last, what lasts wont come easy'

p.s: Don't expect too much.... because expectations leads to disappointment..
My advise: Handle your feelings carefully ;-)

Restart and Refresh

Assalamualaikum Silent reader(s) ;-)

Allah Knows, while you know not.
Have you ever worked so hard on something, but in the end didn't turn out to be as you expect it to be?
Have you ever wondered why most of your wishes didn't came true?
Have you ever wondered why He didn't give things you thought you deserved?

"But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not."

[Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 216]

This particular ayah is the answer to all of your questions.
Perhaps, one day, you would be thanking Him for everything.
You might not understand it now, but as time goes by........... you will
As cliche as it sounds, everything happens for a reason.

Whenever something didn't go your way, just remember this ayah to cheer you up!
Works wonders! :D

-------------------------------------------------------
These made me think deep:

1) We always, always, always ignore and reject things that are actually good to us. Why is that?
2) One small unacceptable action done by someone who we consider as 'superior' than us made us turn a blind eye, and we never want to see the person the same way again. Why is that?
3) We judge people based on their appearance. Why is that?
4) Us, humans, are never thankful of what we have. We always forget that there are a lot of people who don't even have access for a clean water, proper food, proper education, shelter. Why is that?
5) We tend to remember God only in our bad times. Why is that?
