Dear Heart

"Take all the time you need to heal emotionally.
Moving on doesn’t take a day;
it takes lots of little steps to be able to break free of your broken self.
Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.
Just because today is painful doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be great.
You just got to get there.
The best things usually happen when you least expect it.
So try to smile in the mean time.
Not because life has been easy, perfect, or exactly as you had anticipated,
but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have.

People say that time heals, and yes it does,
just a little bit of patience dear heart.

Dear heart,
remind yourself not to chase after the stars,
cus in the end you wont realise,
that you've lost the Moon.

Dear heart, please bear this in mind:

Nothing happens without Allah’s will.
We have no power over that.
If it’s written to happen, it will happen.

"The One"

"The perfect body, perfect outfit, perfect ride, perfect man/woman,
none of it will bring you happiness if your heart is spiritually empty"
- Saad Tasleem

Assalamualaikum silent readers :)

A friend of mine once asked me how do we know if that person is "The One".
At that time, I wasnt sure myself.. I mean, who am I ( a happily single 20-year old woman) to answer the famous question?

Videos after videos, articles after articles,
I think I can finally answer for real this time.

From my honest opinion, "The One" doesnt have to tick everything on your "dream guy/girl" list.
It may or may not have the characteristics that you desire. The most important thing is that..
just ask yourself if....
he/she can be a good parent to your future child,
respects your family (esp your parents),
& most importantly, accepts who you are,
and at the same time, guides to the right path.

Hopefully, this post will benefit those who are still looking for "The One", or those who thinks they do but are in dilemma. Hehe.

Till next time, InshaAllah.

p/s: I am not a love expert. Just sharing my two-cents. :)

Always A Traveller

"I realized I had been lost for many years,
looking for happiness in all the wrong places.
While busy with my career, I started to pray again,
which led me to go for umrah, then I got married, Alhamdulilah."
-Mizz Nina

Assalamualaikum silent readers :)

A few days ago I went to this islamic expo
and to my surprise....Mizz Nina was there..
In the flesh.
At first I thought it was her doppleganger or something,
cus she looked slightly different from pictures/tv.
with all my might, i approached her.. and looked her up close,
and she was indeed her! (starstruck moment is on!)
She was promoting her perfumes..namely Ameera & Till Jannah.
and....i bought Till Jannah as it comprises of Lavender & Vanilla (my fave).
it has a really moderate, sweet scent & the best thing about it is that we can use it
during solah. :)

Anyways back to Mizz Nina..
Meeting her in the flesh was a remarkable experience...
cus she is so humble.. so pretty.. so modest.. in person. MashaAllah.
Looking at her old life before and now brought me into tears..
Indeed , Allah gives guidance to anyone, no matter how lacking
their life was before..
And also not forgetting, kudos to her amazing husband for guiding her,
for being a good Muslim husband.

I wasnt actually a fan of her before,
but ever since she dons the hijab and did her hijrah, I became one.
It was simply because her story (insert link here. Must watch :) ) won me over, and at the same time
encourages & reminds me to strive for better. InshaaAllah.

I'm ending my post with a picture of me & the lovely Mizz Nina :)

Till next time,InshaAllah.

The Fault In Our Stars

Damn John Green.
You got me. CRYING. IN THE MIDDLE OF READING.
UR BOOK!!

AUGUSTUS WATERS?!
my heart is broken into pieces since the day i finished reading the book.
why john why?

To think back, i think this is actually my second time, that i cried for real...reading a book.
ok.

Ok i really do hope that the movie will be as good as the book.
But no I dont wanna expect too much, cus that too much can hurt you so much.
Ok so no. The movie will never be as good as the book.

Books like this really raise women's expectations in men.
We as women want a guy like Augustus Waters or Mr. Darcy, but I guess that is just too much to ask for. Never will a man ever be as fine as Augustus Waters or as charismatic as Mr. Darcy.
But I do believe that a man with SOME of their qualities exist............... maybe. just maybe.

Haha okaaaaaaaaaaaay.
Ok. so for those who have not yet read the book, please read it. PLEASE.
Lets share our broken heart together okay? :P
