SMILE.
Let everyone know that today,
you're a lot stronger than you were yesterday.
Assalamualaikum Silent reader(s) ;-)
I have a few questions for starters.
1) Do you smile at strangers?
2) How often do you smile at strangers?
3) How often do you smile at your friends/families?
Me? USED TO. Most of the time.
USED TO. To even admit it hurts me to the core.
heh :-(
A smile can mean a lot of things. For instance:
short smile : 'Hi'
wide smile: ' Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! X) '
Smiling is contagious. It is seen as a charity, Islamically.
Why? You are giving a happy part of you to another sister/brother who
might be suffering from something or is having a bad day. :)
However...........
Lately, I seemed to forget to smile. I even forgot HOW to.
Sometimes, we need people to remind us (not literally) about this silent language.
We certainly need at least someone to remind us how to smile.
They might not know, its just that their actions are so natural,
that everytime you talk to them,
either via face-to-face or just on the phone,
you just feel happiness being transferred at you, without even realising.
Contentment, on the other hand, can only be achieved by ourselves.
* There is a big difference between happiness and contentment
Only when you have a heart full of contentment, only then, you'll
manage to actually feel the happiness that was transferred to you.
Only then, will you live a happy life.
A life full of smiles. Not fake ones. Real ones.
A life which constantly reminds you to smile and how to,even when the chips are down.
A life full of acceptance and letting go, in which we accept everything,
the good and the bad because we know He knows best.
Alhamdulillah for the good, the bad, the past, the present, the future.
*smiles*
